Amazon has refreshed its Kindle family for its 20th anniversary. The new Amazon Kindle lineup includes redesigned e-readers, new colors, lighter designs, and several new accessories. While some models are already available, most of the new devices are currently available for preorder and are expected to arrive in late October.

The refreshed range covers regular Kindle models, Paperwhite devices, Colorsoft e-readers, and Kids editions. Amazon has also introduced a new page-turning remote called Kindle Click.

What’s New in the Amazon Kindle Lineup?

The new Kindle models feature thinner and lighter designs. Amazon is also offering fresh colors, including ube, alpine sky, and seaglass green.

The standard Kindle gets one of the more noticeable design changes. It now has a flush-front display and an optional aluminum back. This type of finish was previously limited to higher-end Signature Edition models.

Amazon has kept the prices of the new e-readers in line with their predecessors, despite recent price increases affecting some older models.

New Kindle Accessories

Amazon is also expanding its Kindle accessory range. The biggest new addition is the Kindle Click, a small page-turning remote priced at $34.99.

The device has large haptic buttons for turning pages and additional side buttons for adjusting screen brightness. It is designed for readers who want to control their Kindle without constantly touching the screen.

Other new accessories include a Page Turn Cover priced at $79.99, a $59.99 charging stand, and a Kindle Sling Bag priced at $99.99.

The charging stand does not have a confirmed launch date yet. Amazon is allowing shoppers to sign up for availability notifications.

Which Kindle Should You Consider?

The new Amazon Kindle lineup gives readers several options depending on their needs. The basic Kindle is the most affordable choice, while the Paperwhite offers a step up. Colorsoft models are aimed at readers who want a color display, while Kids editions are designed specifically for younger users.

With multiple models and accessories launching together, Amazon’s 20th-anniversary Kindle refresh gives readers more choices than before. For shoppers planning an upgrade, checking the release dates and storage options will be important before placing an order.
